Built by someone who has watched this go wrong.
Roadmap came out of working on large temporary events and watching the same failure happen every time: the material plan lives in a hundred spreadsheets, the person holding the master copy becomes the bottleneck, and by the time anyone can say what the event actually needs, the moment to negotiate has passed.
None of that is because the people are bad at their jobs. They are usually extremely good at them, working with tools that cannot consolidate, cannot hold a version, and cannot tell you afterward what was decided. The job is difficult enough without the tooling adding to it.
So this was built narrow on purpose. It does the part of the process that produces the arguing — asking, negotiating, approving, and turning that into one list a buyer can act on — and it does not attempt to be your ERP, your scheduling tool, or your accreditation system.
We have no customers yet. Five events will be the first, and they get to shape what comes next.
