Bump-out

The reverse of bump-in: stripping a venue after the event, and getting everything off site.

Why it matters operationally

Bump-out is where the money leaks. Reusable stock that nobody logged out gets binned or lost, hire equipment goes back late, and the venue charges for the overrun. It also runs under worse conditions than bump-in — everyone is exhausted, the deadline is contractual, and the people who knew where things came from have gone home.

How Roadmap handles it

What was received into a space is on record, so what has to leave it is a list rather than a memory.
